Back in the Saddle Again!!! Not that anyone wants to keep up with the Rogers, it’s usually the Joneses. Who are they anyway? Maybe our life helps you appreciate yours more! But because we like having you along on our journey and hope you would draw near to the Lord with us, here’s where we’ll be this month:
Today, April 4th: Randy’s Pre Op appointment at USC!
Friday, April 7th: Jill Speaking at MnM, “Marriage in the Trenches”. Wintersburg’s Mom’s ministry 9:30 am.
Monday, April 10: Randy’s implant Surgery at USC! He’s going bionic! Randy will be able to attach things to his head after a few months of healing. He can use wi-fi, streaming, and even a microphone! He can have music in his head that no one can hear! He can spy on the kids by leaving the mic in their room and listen from his own! Can’t wait to be married to Steve Austin, the Six Million Dollar Man!
Thursday, April 13: Traveling to Nor cal for the Raiders of the Lost Ark with the San Francisco Symphony. UCSF Benioff Families were offered a complimentary concert of their choice! When they came to do a live concert at the hospital, Ian was too fragile to stay for the actual concert time. They gave him a private preview and returned with a bag of gifts for him later that week. One gift in particular became a favorite of Micah’s, the John Williams CD. Since then Micah has made us listen to it over and over again, making us all hush up so we can hear certain parts, begged for a trumpet, and now plays it all the time, even at the dinner table. Oh what joy!
Friday April 14: Good Friday Service 7pm at Crossroads Community Church.
Saturday April 15: Randy and I celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary. Neither of us could have imagined a marriage like this. Marriage is not easy. Adding degenerative diseases and a couple medical crisis turns up the heat! So we have been half-baked, singed, battered and fried over the past year. Maybe we are more tasty! We are humbled and grateful to have made it this far and still like each other. Someone asked me what our plans were and I said, “To stay married.” Sometimes just keeping it simple is best under the circumstances.
Sunday April 16th: Easter Sunday! Come celebrate Resurrection Sunday with us at Crossroads Community Church, 10 am!
Saturday April 29th: Bop Bop’s Birthday and the Last Saturday Night of Worship at Crossroads Community Church. 5:30 Pot luck, 6:30 Worship, 7:30 Dessert
Sunday April 30th: 5K Bruin Run/Walk! Please join us for this one! All funds raised will go to support the Mattel Children’s Child Life Program. Ian’s story is featured on their website and you can join our team! Sign up today! Prices increase after April 14th so join us today! To join Team Ian! Read Ian’s Story and Join Team Ian!
