EN’s Beat no. 5

EN’s Beat no. 5

Hello family,

Psych Team gives their  Unanimous and “Uncontroversial” Thumbs Up!

How  does it feel to have things work out? It feels great. I am listed now. The doctors have approved me and so has insurance. I am still, however, feeling sick. I don’t feel very well. The nausea happens after pretty much any exertion. Sometimes, after I eat I immediately feel sick and occasionally throw it up. That is the sad part.

However God fills all my days with another kind of happiness.  I get to become closer to Him. Because that is the way I choose to journey when he gives me trials. The trials are just another way that God refines us. James 1:12, Read it.

30th Day in Hospital was my 1st Day on the List!

To report on events happening. I have been listed. Yesterday I had the operation you probably heard about. The Catheterization went well. I had about zero pain. Thank God for that! I also woke up right away and had a fine day with my relatives. Although I still feel nauseous, the other events are going smooth. Okay.

This morning I had another test. They took a couple X Rays to measure how big the chest cavity is. This also will give them an idea of the size of the heart that my body will accept. It went pretty smoothly; the shirt I was wearing worked well. My nurses are very helpful.

Two men die Tuesday, another dies Wednesday. How many will die Thursday?

Thank you for reading. I am a lousy writer.

Everyone is dying, some of us look up Bible verses.

In case you did not notice, I will no longer type up the actual Bible verse.

My Life in Pictures:

Hospital Approval Day:

Waiting for Insurance. Doctors are still managing Ian’s symptoms and training us to take care of him at home. Auntie Lammy and Uncle Paul came to give Randy and I some time away. Randy will be going back to work on August 24th!!  Lord, help us get EN safe and settled before then!

Insurance Approved 8/11/2016!!

33rd Day in Hospital, Day 3 on List, 5 hair cuts, and lots of visitors!

Mom Note: Thank you for all of your kindness and prayers from all over the world! Thank you for taking care of Kaiya and Micah, for bringing meals to us and to Bop Bop and Nana, for driving over an hour to get here, for writing cards and sending packages. I wish you could read all the comments and encouraging news that are coming our way. Some just make us laugh, other’s give us tremendous peace. The Gospel is being shared and Ian’s life is drawing people closer to Jesus! That’s where we need to be too!

I have loved my time with Ian at the hospital. We grow  in compassion when we see other kids here without a mom and dad to help them out. Tonight Ian said, “I feel sad for the other kids who don’t have a mommy to clean them up.” Me too. I want to go gather them all up under my wings!

Learning how to wait,

Jilly

“…but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

  1. Hi En and family, thank you for Beat no.5, bro! I am blessed to read your writing and I think it is amazing, real, and cherishing. When ever I check my email, my hope is that I will get to read another Beat! I am sad to hear your not feeling well, yet I am thankful for your honesty, which will aid me in my prayers to our Heavenly Father. Additionally, I am thankful that, though physically sick and nauseous, your days are happy because you choose to draw nearer to God, and because you reminded me of James 1:12, (which I did look up); I see your steadfast love of God through this trial and I am reminded of God’s promise of “the crown of life”. In response to your “Moms note” I do pray for kids who are sick in hospitals, which then leads me to pray for all the sick kids in the world, who may not even be able to get to a hospital, that our good and faithful Lord would heal them, protect them, and mostly save them by His love and grace. As far as the riddle goes……… yikes, I am so bad with those but maybe none die on Thursday? Love in Christ, kel and family
“You have kept count of my tossing, put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?” Psalm 56:8 Oh, I know one riddle….. my Dad taught it to me when I was, well I think in the 5th grade, so about 40 years or so ago….. it asks, “who is bigger, Mr. Bigger or Mr. Biggers baby?”
